Babes in Deutschland, Little Bits of LovelyMeet my Nikon D600, I adore him, and we are inseparable if you can’t tell by the flood of photos that wind up here. We currently have a casual relationship, no contracts or binding business obligations, but that could change in the future… things are pretty serious. We’ve been together for over three years now and have been on all sorts of dates. We attend weddings together and visit newborns, but our favorite way to spend time is capturing the everyday moments of families and children at play. I’m not sure if we’ll visit a legal office and form a legitimate union while in Germany or not (German tax laws are crazy!), but for now, we’ll will keep you updated here!

What camera do you use? My husband surprised me with a Nikon D600 last Christmas, and I am over the moon in love with it!

Which lenses are your favorites? I have three, and I adore them each for a different reason, the Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G that came with my camera is my only zoom lens, and therefore preferred for traveling. My all around favorite is the standard Nikon 50mm f/1.8G. I love the big, beautiful bokeh and sharpness for portrait photography! And lastly, I just got a Lensbaby Composer Pro with Sweet 35 Optic which I am still learning to use, but am loving the playful results!

What do you plan to do with photography, or your life in general? Goodness, I have no idea! Go wherever the wind takes me and take pictures along the way, I suppose. I love my family, I love travel, I love the idea of photography as advocacy, but there here and now? I’m just figuring it out as I go and hoping to capture little sparks of God’s glorious masterpiece along the way.
