With all of the stress of moving in lately, the last thing that’s been on my mind has been grocery shopping or meal planning, hence the dilemma I arrived at the other night when five o’clock rolled around and I had nothing at all prepared. This recipe was born out of empty cupboards and ticking time bomb-like hungry children (not normally two things that end well!)
All things considered, it’s amazingly easy, cheap and yummy so I thought I’d share the recipe in case anyone else is in a pinch for dinner ideas!
EASY Chicken Pizza
- 1 loaf of Rhodes frozen bread dough (defrosted in the fridge)
- 2 cups cut up pre-cooked chicken strips
- 1 cup alfredo sauce
- 4 cups of cheese
- garlic, basil, oregano, parsley to taste
Defrost the frozen loaf of bread dough in the refrigerator, when dinner time rolls around, cut it in half to make two pizzas, shape the crust and set it on a piece of foil that has been sprayed with Pam. Sprinkle the crust with various herbs, cover with the alfredo sauce, chicken and cheese, then add a dash of parsley on top for color! Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. The pizza will slide off of the foil with absolutely no clean up!
