Soo, living in our new house feels kind of like camping. We’re really cold all of the time, sleeping on a twin mattress and having to make weird improvisations for common household objects (i.e. Jon’s hat became a pot holder tonight); but, then again, some things are glorious. This morning we awoke to the village lying below us covered in fog, we started our first fire which made the atmosphere around here much cheerier, and we took a stroll through our village to inspect all of the spring blooms per Aurora’s request.
There’s a lot to do to get the house ready to receive our household goods. They come in on the 6th, but before then we have several rooms to paint, many an old light fixture to update, and another trip to Ikea to arrange. Things are coming along, slowly but surely. Hopefully within a month or two this place will really start feeling like home.
